For business leaders Joseph Turner

Where to start?

I help business leaders identify where data and AI can make a meaningful difference, then lead the work from an initial idea into day-to-day use.

  1. UnderstandThe context
  2. DecideWhat matters
  3. DeliverPut it to work

One responsibility. The outcome.

01 / The person behind the work

I lead the work.
I build it too.

I’ve led senior product, engineering and customer teams, with a major hands-on role in commercial growth. As founder, CEO and CTO, I grew my business to a mid-eight-figure valuation within three years, with six-figure contracts and multiple FTSE 100 customers.

You shouldn’t have to become a software expert to trust that the outcome your business needs will be delivered.

The problems I’m interested in

02 / The kind of work I love

Build a business
that can do more.

I’m most interested in the work that changes what a business is capable of: how it grows, how well it delivers, and how effectively its people can work.

Top-line growthGive the business more room to grow.

I love finding what a business could offer that it can’t today. A new product or service, a better customer experience, or a capability that makes the next stage of growth possible.

Core operationsMake the business better at what it does.

How a company delivers matters as much as what it sells. I’m interested in improving the quality, reliability and effectiveness of the operation itself—work that can strengthen margins and support growth together.

Back officeHelp the people doing the work.

The back office should enable the business—not cripple it by tying people up in low-value work. I’d judge the work by time freed up, costs kept in proportion and what it enables the rest of the business to do.

03 / Two kinds of work

Better decisions.
Better ways of working.

01 / Decision intelligence
From scattered evidence to a clearer decisionConnect the sources. Understand the context. Decide where to act.

Strategic / Data intelligence

Build a clearer view of the business.

Products and services that turn difficult or missing data into information people can use to make better decisions.

Data intelligence & decisions
02 / Operational applications
From workarounds to a working operationConnect demand, capacity and delivery. Learn from what happens.

Core operations / Applications

Build a better way to get the work done.

Applications for the core work of a business—moving beyond spreadsheets and disconnected systems to improve what teams can deliver.

Applications & operations

You stay close to the priorities and the results. I take responsibility for the technical detail, the delivery and helping people make the change.

04 / My other rabbit hole

A business worth understanding.

I spend hundreds of hours researching companies, just to understand how they work. These are personal projects—alongside notes on what I learn from building.

L’Oréal

I love this story. Product superiority winning, leaning into science, then nailing succession. It’s a masterclass.

A correction should improve more than today’s answer. It should become context for the next decision.
